FirstScreen Conference: The Speakers Are Here

A few weeks ago, we came out with the news of our first-ever conference, FirstScreen, which will take place on June 15 in Berlin in collaboration with Online Marketing Rockstars. Today, we’re thrilled to announce the first speakers as well as the conference agenda. We mixed insightful sessions from mobile experts with inspirational talks from influencers and entrepreneurial luminaries to bring you a conference experience both informative and entertaining. Among others, we will be welcoming the founders of the app phenomenons musical.ly and Dubsmash, as well as specialists from Facebook, TUNE, adjust, Studio 71, Priori Data, and many more!

Pablos Holman

Pablos Holman, Internet Visionary and Futurist

Futurist, inventor, hacker, entrepreneur – there are numerous ways to describe Pablos Holman. As a worldwide consultant for inventions and design projects he is making wild ideas a bit more practical and vice versa. He helped create the world’s smallest PC, 3D printers at Makerbot, spaceships with Jeff Bezos at Blue Origin, artificial intelligence agent systems, and the Hackerbot, a Wi-Fi seeking robot.

Demy de Zeeuw, Ex-Football-Pro and Founder of 433 & BALR

Demy de Zeeuw is a Dutch professional football player who played for Ajax, Spartak and the Dutch national team. In 2013 he founded the mobile sports community 433 and the lifestyle brand BALR. With funny clips and stories Demy and his team reach millions of people. His Instagram account is followed by over 10 million people. Demy will talk about how to acquire and entertain that many people.

Alex Hofmann & Jun Zhu, musical.ly

It makes zero doubt that millennials are constantly on Snapchat and Instagram. Over the past months however, a new viral app has emerged and gotten everyone talking: muscal.ly. The concept: in 15-second videos, users can make playback performances or re-enact scenes out of their favorite movies. Jun Zhu (Founder) and Alex Hofmann (President, North America) will take onto the stage to explain how they managed to get to 60 million users in less than a year as well as how they plan to transform their entertainment app into a fully fledged marketing platform.

Roland Grenke, Founder, Dubsmash

Roland Grenke is one of the three founders of Berlin-based Dubsmash, a successful video messaging app that was launched in November 2014. Users can choose an audio file or soundbite from movie, song or TV show, record a lipsync-video, and share them via other social apps. International stars such as Rihanna, Hugh Jackman and Clara Delevigne are already using the app. Before Dubsmash, Roland worked for Project A Ventures.

Patrick Kane, CEO & Founder, Priori Data

Patrick Kane is the Founder & CEO of Priori Data, a leading provider of mobile app intelligence based in Berlin. Patrick founded Priori Data after working for a decade on the consumer side of market data. Patrick began his career in the investment banking division at Morgan Stanley, before moving to private equity fund Vestar Capital Partners where he focused on evaluating and executing investment opportunities in the information services sector.

Saira Nayak, Chief Privacy Officer, Tune

Saira Nayak is Chief Privacy Officer at TUNE, a mobile analytics and performance marketing platform. Saira has over 16 years of experience advising technology companies on global antitrust, privacy and data protection requirements. Prior to TUNE, she was Director of Policy at TRUSTe, where she helped define the company’s external policy platform while advocating the TRUSTe position with industry, regulators, and other stakeholders.

Jake Ward, Director, Application Developers Alliance

Jake Ward is the co-founder and President/CEO of the Application Developers Alliance. Prior to founding the Alliance, Ward worked for more than 10 years leading strategic communications and issue-advocacy campaigns for Fortune 100 companies, public-interest group and associations. Ward holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Wheaton College and a master’s degree from Northeastern University. Jake will moderate the Mobile App Buyer Power Panel.

James Peng, Head of Mobile App Acquisition, Match Group

The Match Group is the company behind the app and social phenomenon Tinder. It’s also the parent company of more than 40 dating brands in more 30 languages. James Peng is Head of Mobile User Acquisition and was officially named as part of Forbes’ “30 under 30” ranking this year in the Marketing & Advertising category. James will take part in the “Distilling Mobile Buyer Power:Insights from the Top Chart Players” Panel.

Sebastian Weil, CEO & Founder, Studio 71

Dr. Sebastian Weil (37) is co-founder and CEO of Studio71 in Berlin, the fast growing Multi-Channel-Network of ProSiebenSat.1. Before his position at Studio71, Sebastian Weil was Managing Director of ProSiebenSat.1 Digital where he was responsible for strategy, operations and business development. Sebastian holds degrees in media engineering and business administration and a Ph.D. in media economics.

Tim Koschella, Founder & CEO, AppLift

Tim Koschella is a dedicated expert in international mobile and online performance marketing (CPI, CPL, CPA, CPE) with a particular focus on the games industry. As Co-Founder and CEO of AppLift, he has been working with 100+ mobile companies to acquire users for their apps, among them many of the industry’s leading advertisers.

Stephanie Emmanouel, General Manager, Somo Global

As seasoned international digital marketing executive, Stephanie heads up The Connected Customer Marketing Division at Somo. Stephanie joined Somo in 2012 from Out There Media, where as VP Sales she was responsible for the company’s global sales teams. She holds a Master’s Degree in Computing Science from Birkbeck College (University of London) and a Master’s Degree in Communication Studies from the Ludwig-Maximilian-University in Munich.

Tom Laband, CEO & Founder, adsquare

Tom Laband is CEO and Co-Founder at adsquare, Europe’s leading Audience Management Platform. adsquare offers an independent self-service platform that gives advertisers and agencies full control to define audience segments and seamlessly activate them via their preferred programmatic buying platform. Prior to adsquare, Laband was CSO at Sevenval Technologies where he was primarily responsible for the London branch, followed by VP Sales for YOC AG.
