On the AppLift blog, we’re hard at work sharing the latest and freshest tips, trends, and analyses in the mobile advertising industry. Since we started this blog three years ago, we’ve made it our mission to inform, educate, and improve the standards of our industry while avoiding self-promotion as much as possible (well, we do have to talk about ourselves sometimes, this is a corporate blog after all ;).
We are continuing with our series Life at AppLift in order to introduce the people working in our company. The goal is to give a glimpse into who makes our company so vibrant, but also to look at how each individual person within our organization, through their work, can positively impact our industry.

1. How long have you been working here? What has your career path been at AppLift?
I have been working at AppLift for the past 8 months. It has been a great experience , particularly because I have been fortunate enough to get the chance of working with extremely knowledgeable (and friendly) colleagues who have helped me understand mobile adtech and our product in deep detail and pretty quickly.
Additionally, the vision of our leadership at AppLift promotes innovation and gives ample opportunities to work on cutting-edge adtech products that will satisfy the needs of performance advertisers of today, as well as tomorrow.
2. How do you impact the mobile advertising industry through your job?
We have a unique product vision at AppLift, i.e. to provide a single solution to the needs of performance mobile advertisers. In order to make this possible, we take into account current needs and anticipate future needs of these advertisers beforehand and we make it possible for them to get the best out of their marketing dollars. I’m proud to make an equally significant contribution to realizing this vision, along my other product team members.
The impact on the mobile advertising is more of a ripple effect, as the industry competes daily and on a real-time basis from the same pie of end mobile users. The result of having this vision in place will be that our competitors will notice and some of them might even take inspiration to get started on their own product improvements.
3. Can you describe your team? What makes your team unique?
If we were to describe the unique part about the product team at AppLift in one sentence, it will be – “Unity in diversity”. Despite coming from four different continents and many different countries, the team carries and respects common values that bind us together as a unit. Almost of us have been involved in hands-on engineering roles, and we come from a product management experience working in a variety of companies from different countries. That translates into respect and an inclination to understand what diverse professional experiences we bring to the table.
We have teams that are sitting in two offices across the globe but we are able to work as one team on challenging and complex products. That presents us with a unique opportunity to work with people from very different cultures than your own. And to me, that is a great value to have in your team.
4. What kind of people thrive in your team?
We all come from various different cultural and professional backgrounds, but come from a similar set of characteristics and values. Ability to take ownership and responsibility, and not cracking down under pressure are some of the most important characteristics which will help a person thrive in our team. I would also stress on the ability to change context and multitask, and to that effect, ability to make fast, but good decisions are quintessential to being a part of the product team!
5. What is your best memory in AppLift so far ?
The best memory so far was our summer office party in Berlin. It was a great way to meet people from AppLift, Hitfox group (AppLift’s parent company), and other people from the Berlin startup industry and be able to connect with them in an informal, fun environment.
6. What did you find at AppLift that you didn’t have in any previous job?
For me personally, the agility of making product advancements along with an internationally diverse culture is truly unique.
