AppLift’s inaugural FirstScreen Conference, the first conference dedicated to mobile performance advertising and ad technology, took place in Berlin on June 15. As the long and grey spring gave way to some June sunshine (well, as sunny as a Northern European summer gets!), we welcomed over 500 guests as well as AppLifters from four corners of the world at Berlin’s Kino International.
We partnered with Online Marketing Rockstars (OMR) to put together conference unlike any other – it was envisioned as a unique forum for marketers, technology professionals and the leading minds of the industry to meet, find inspiration and take a look at the future of the industry together.
We brought together some of the brightest minds in the industry such as futurist Pablos Holman, footballer turned entrepreneur Demy de Zeeuw, Dubsmash’s Suchit Dash, and our very own Tim Koschella, mixing insightful sessions from mobile experts with inspirational talks from influencers and entrepreneurial luminaries to bring you a conference experience both informative and entertaining.

Lessons From a Futurist, a Footballer, and a Magician
Melissa Gallo from the IAB Tech Lab grilled experts in mobile programmatic, while Jake Ward of the App Developer Alliance extracted the latest UA insights from mobile marketing pros, including Eric Seufert from Heracles and Christian Calderon from Ketchapp Games.
While the lineup was packed with some insightful talks and panel discussions, there were some very interesting lessons for the crowd from a futurist, a footballer and a magician! While futurist and hacker Pablos Holman held an inspirational keynote presentation where, among other innovative ideas, he explained how he’s fighting malaria with…lasers, footballer turned entrepreneur Demy de Zeeuw was an inspiration to many who dream of going the entrepreneurship route. There was also magician Christoph Wilke who kept everyone zapped with his act.

Mobile ad tech is serious business, but so is good food! At FirstScreen Conference no detail was left to chance: from locally-brewed coffee, fresh fruit salad, and juicy burgers, we made sure we kept our stomach (and our guests’!) happy 😉
After Party at the House of Weekend
