New York, here we come! We are excited to announce the appointment of Brendan Lyall as Managing Director US East for the company’s newly-opened New York office.
As part of our continuing Life at AppLift series, we bring you to our Berlin office to showcase what we have been up to in June. It sure was a defining month for the whole AppLift family!
On the AppLift blog, we’re hard at work sharing the latest and freshest tips, trends, and analyses in the mobile advertising industry. Since we started this blog three years ago, we’ve made it our mission to inform, educate, and improve the standards of our industry while avoiding self-promotion as much as possible (well, we do have to talk about ourselves sometimes, this is a corporate blog after all ;).
We are continuing with our series Life at AppLift in order to introduce the people working in our company. The goal is to give a glimpse into who makes our company so vibrant, but also to look at how each individual person within our organization, through their work, can positively impact our industry.

The digital advertising industry, and especially mobile advertising, has evolved at a rapid pace in the last couple of years, and much of that evolution has been towards programmatic. Programmatic advertising, i.e. the automated buy of media placements, has gone mainstream in the last few years, replacing traditional ad-space sells for mobile websites and mobile apps. However, despite all the buzz around programmatic, there is still confusion around what the term means and implies. Few know what it stands for, and even fewer know how to use it for media buying.
Our latest eBook demystifies what programmatic is and explains everything that you wanted to know about programmatic, but were too afraid to ask!
AppLift’s inaugural FirstScreen Conference kicked off today at Kino International in Berlin, bringing together the leading minds of the mobile industry. At the event we announced our new unified platform DataLift 360 – the first platform to unify app advertising across the entire app lifecycle, from launch to growth and retention.
Last month AppLift hosted its first tech meetup in cooperation with developer-focused platform Honeypot. The event took place in AppLift’s newly renovated office space, located in Mitte, Berlin’s startup hub. Learn more about microservices in startups!
FirstScreen is just one week away and we thought we owe it to our readers as well as to all attendees to say a short word about the city where the conference will take place, and where AppLift was born. From being at the center of much of Europe’s history and turmoil throughout the 20th century, over the last 20 years Berlin has become a vibrant hub for artistic creativity and, most recently, startup innovation.
Although plenty of food and excitement will be provided at the aftershow party at House of Weekend, we’ve interviewed three AppLift Berliners, both native and newcomers, to explain why they love this city so much and give a few tips as to where to go eat and party if you’re staying for a couple days more.
AppLift’s inaugural conference, FirstScreen, is just a week away. As we countdown to June 15, we bring to you a series of interviews with our speakers. Read on to learn more about their perspective on all things mobile! Up this week is PubNative’s Eddie De Guia.
Yesterday we hosted a webinar on the future of programmatic with our Managing Director and CRO Maor Sadra. We were happy to welcome many of you who wanted to take a look into the future of programmatic. If you missed Continue Reading
In our series on programmatic, so far we have talked about what programmatic media buying is and the various ways in which advertisers can buy ad inventory programmatically. We have dived into Real-Time Bidding Open Auction (RTB) and Private Marketplaces (PMP), both of which make use of auctions that happen in real-time. In this installment, we will discuss Programmatic Direct, an arm of programmatic media buying that doesn’t involve a real-time auction.
